Electrical Service Restoration at 77 Hudson Street - New York, NY
Edouard Engineering Consulting (EEC) investigated the fire damaged electrical distribution
system at 77 Hudson Street. Due to the destruction of the electrical infra-structure in the electrical
room, EEC provided a temporary solution to restore power to the building, the restaurant, and the
residential units. The temporary solution removed the unsafe conditions caused by the fire
damages. Within one week of the investigation, EEC provided design drawings for a permanent
installation
The significant investigation and design features were:
• Replace existing Con-Edison meter-pan and CT cabinet
• Provide new service conductors to replace existing damaged conductors
• Voltage drop analysis
• Produce report of findings and supporting calculations
